Privacy policy

Last reviewed September 2026. This policy covers beyond-gender.com only; the sister sites in the Beyond Gender network each publish their own.

Who is responsible

This website is published by Genspect, The Steps, O'Connell Street, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland. Genspect is the data controller for any personal data processed through the site. You can reach the controller at [email protected].

What we collect and why

If you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, subject and message you type. We use them to answer you, and for no other purpose. The message is stored by our website platform and delivered by email to the Genspect team. We keep contact messages for up to twelve months after the last exchange, then delete them.

Our hosting platform keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and error diagnosis. Logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles of visitors.

Embedded YouTube videos

Episode pages embed the YouTube player. When you play a video, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies under its own privacy policy. We do not control that processing. If you would rather not connect to YouTube, use the link to open the episode on youtube.com instead of the embedded player.

No analytics, no advertising

This site uses no analytics service, no advertising network and no social-media tracking pixel. We do not sell, rent or share visitor data.

Legal basis

We process contact messages on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us, and server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing, and complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a month.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
